I have lived in the small town of Roseburg, Oregon for almost my entire life. When I got to Oregon State, a college with more students than the population of Roseburg, I was a bit intimidated by the sheer size. However, I believe that my choice of OSU as the place to spend the next years of my life was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Nowhere else could I take a class on Native American flutes and later that same day head to my meeting for the OSU Mars Rover software team. I am currently pursuing an Honor’s Bachelor of Science in the field of Computer Science, with a possible minor in either Business or Writing. I am currently researching under Dr. Margaret Burnett, who specializes in the field of human-computer interaction. I will be helping with data analysis and piloting studies. As for a career, I hope to get a job in software development or cybersecurity. The best part of OSU so far is the attitudes of my professors. It is very clear that these people love their jobs and genuinely want their students to succeed.
